WSP describe and appraise the consequences for how to protect the distinctive character of the landscape, how the historical dimension will be experienced and the connected ecological functions. Another important part of the EIA is the influence on the living environment. An EIA may also illustrate conflicts of interests. An EIA turns to decision makers, authorities as well as to the public meaning it has to be easy to understand for all parties.
An EIA is not only a description of how an operation or a construction affects the environment but also the result of a consultation process. It is an important tool to clarify what is important to describe and discuss and may have influence on the final design. The consultations provides us with as complete basis as possible for the EIA, which makes the permit process run smoothly.
